Our Outreach

BARC

SITA supports BARC. Despite its mesmerizing landscape, Bali has its problems. Visitors are often shocked by the contrast between the island’s tropical green beauty and its suffering canine population. Distressed by the miserable fate of the packs of emaciated Balinese street dogs who roam the villages in search of food, I’ve resolved to help.

SITA is therefore a regular contributor and sponsor to BARC, a registered Australian- Indonesian, not-for-profit, no-kill shelter founded by Linda Buller. BARC provides sanctuary, adoption, sterilization and medical care for over 350 dogs. It also works to educate the Balinese youth in community schools about the importance of dog care. The BARC rehabilitation center and free sterilization services stop the cycle of unwanted puppies by returning the dogs to good health.

AMARA

SITA also supports AMARA. Amara works to ensure that every child in foster care has the love and support of a committed family – as quickly as possible and for as long as each child needs. Amara strives to see that all children in foster care realize their full potential when they feel safe and secure with a loving family, experiencing stability, well-being, and permanence. SITA is proud to support such a vital mission.
