Our Story
I first visited Bali in 1995 where my passion for the artistic culture and natural beauty of the island inspired me to found SITA. I come from a family of artists and designers — and with a degree in cultural anthropology, I was well-prepared to engage with and appreciate this ancient artisan culture. I moved to Seattle in 1991 as a jewelry buyer for a gallery of handcrafted items from around the world.
Exposed to a diversity of styles and designs, and with deep respect for traditional crafts of all kinds, I quickly found a special place in my heart for Bali’s age- old craft of silversmithing.
I find my inspiration from the unequaled beauty of this tropical paradise and the talented and hardworking culture of its craftspeople.
